The installation of ADSS optical cable hardware is basically divided into two steps: first, cable laying and setting out, fastening, hardware installation, jumper molding; second, optical fiber connection, optical fiber characteristic test.
During the construction, the procedures specified in the installation manual shall be strictly followed. After one process is completed, the next process will be carried out after the spot check is qualified. At the same time, pay attention to the existing ADSS construction and installation experience; the diameter of the traction wheel shall not be less than 500mm, the groove shall be semicircle, the depth shall be greater than the outer diameter of the optical cable, and the groove shall be rubber or nylon; when installing ADSS, the pulley must be reliably grounded; the straight line distance between the tower and the cable laying equipment shall be greater than 4 times the height of the pulley lifting point to reduce the side pressure on the optical cable; when laying the cable The cable shall not be pulled too hard, and the force shall not be greater than half of the initial tension of the cable; the cable traction speed shall not be greater than 20 m / min generally; the integration of ADSS cable shall be completed after each cable is completed. The tail cable bridge and connecting bridge shall be fixed on the tower not less than 6m from the ground. When connecting the optical cable, the optical cable located in the working area and between the static end connecting hardware shall be reliably grounded.



In order to ensure the connection quality, the construction period of ADSS cable fittings shall be in spring and autumn, with less rain and snow, so as to reduce the construction difficulty, ensure the construction progress and reduce the construction cost. During construction in cold winter, temporary tents shall be set up and the temperature shall be above 0 ℃. At the same time, in order to ensure that the attenuation of each welding joint is less than 0.05 dB, it is not enough to evaluate it only by visual inspection or according to the estimated value of the welding machine. Visual inspection is only one aspect of fusion quality assessment. Through visual inspection, it can be confirmed whether there is any abnormality (such as deformation, bubble and other bad conditions) in the connection of optical fiber welding parts. Although qualified by visual inspection, the welding loss shall be measured to see whether it meets the engineering design requirements. The estimation of welding machine often can not give the correct value. Only when the fiber consistency is good, the operation is good, and the fusion is successful, the estimation is more practical. However, most of the estimated values are relatively small, so the estimated values are generally available for the operator's reference, but can not be used as the final basis for evaluation.



Secondly, although the optical fiber connection is qualified, the loss of individual joints will increase in the process of strengthening the heat shrink tube protection and sealing the joint box. Due to improper operation or carelessness, optical fiber may also have faults such as too small bending radius or compression fracture. Only in the process of operation, monitoring and measurement can be found in time. Third, in the connection process, only through measurement and calculation can the distance between the office and each connection point provide correct technical data for future maintenance. Therefore, OTDR is used in the computer room to monitor the fusion attenuation of each joint in real time. When the attenuation index of the joint is found to be unqualified, the site shall be informed immediately to reconnect to avoid rework after all fusion. Finally, attention should be paid to the construction records during the construction period for reference in project acceptance and maintenance.
